Introducing: Sean 0′Sean / Arch Envy LP Out 8.14.12 via Mecca Lecca

Mecca Lecca is excited to announce the addition of Sean 0’Sean to its dynamic roster.

Sean Kiely, aka Sean 0’Sean, has put together a collection of songs that are at heart pop tunes but ones that are distorted by a charismatic and nervous tension. Arch Envy consists of nine fidgety songs about xenophobia (“The West Coast”), shame (“I Was An Animal”), and anxiety (“Arch Envy”), mixed together to create a smart record full of both overwhelming panic about our modern condition, and a genuine sense of collective wonder. Mixing the colors of west-coast pop with the mechanical rhythms of east-coast art rock, Jersey City-based Sean 0’Sean carves his own angles on Arch Envy, using unusual harmonies and declarative statements with hints of later Pavement and Elvis Costello.

Arch Envy was recorded by Mark Lewis at Junxt Studio in Brooklyn and at Sean’s studio in Jersey City, mixed by Sean with Sam Tyndall, and mastered by Bailey Math & Michael Chap Resnick at Terminator Smile.

Catch him live in Brooklyn on Friday, July 13th @ The Rock Shop
w/ Zula, Lean Hounds, Missions, Field Theory
